FAQs for international graduate applicants
Q: What are the application deadlines?
A: Doctoral Program: Feb. 1. Students are admitted to the doctoral program in the Fall and Summer quarters only.
Master's program: Feb. 1 for fall admission and academic year financial aid. Application for admission will be considered at other times if space is available.
Q: Can the GRE and TOEFL requirements be waived?
A: Neither can be waived under any circumstance.
Q: I am already a student in the USA (at Ohio University or elsewhere). Can the GRE and TOEFL requirements be waived for me?
A: No, they cannot be waived even if you are already a student in the USA, even in the same university.
Q: Is it possible for me to get admission and then take the GRE and TOEFL tests?
A: No. The test scores have to be available for a student to be considered for admission.
Q: Is financial aid available to all students?
A: Financial aid is awarded to all doctoral students. It is awarded to about 15 of the most qualified master's students who meet the Feb. 1 deadline. Many who are accepted into the master's program do not get aid. For further information, please contact:
