Hodson takes interim position as head of WOUB

by Robert Stewart, Director; Professor

We’ve anticipated this announcement for some time, and now it’s official: Tom Hodson has replaced Carolyn Lewis as general manager of WOUB.

The press release published today on woub.org notes that the JSchool’s former director “has extensive television and radio experience, which includes producing public affairs and legal programs, election coverage and as play-by-play announcer for baseball, football and basketball. He has served as the voice of Ohio University Women’s basketball for several seasons.”

Tom will continue to do some teaching and advising in our program, but we know that his challenges at WOUB are such that we won’t see him around Scripps Hall very often. We’ll miss him. But we also are confident that his leadership in the RTV building will be vital to JSchool students, and we wish him the very best of luck during the next 18 months.
