Justice Hill is back! The former faculty member and long-time friend of the school will begin teaching full-time this fall.
His schedule this coming semester will include sportswriting and newswriting classes, as well as a capstone in narrative journalism, co-taught with Roger Good of the School of Media Arts & Studies.
I’m very happy to have Justice back on board. I remember that students got a lot out of the classes he taught for us in the late 1980s and early 1990s, as well as during a couple of short teaching stints.
Justice left academe to go back to work as a working journalist, eventually working at The Seattle Times and MLB.com before joining the Cleveland City School District’s communication department.
Justice has participated in the High School Journalism Workshop for the last two years and will continue to play a key role in that program as a full-time faculty member. He’ll also advise our NABJ chapter, the Ohio University Association of Black Journalists (OUABJ), formerly known as the Black Students Communication Caucus.
Like me, Dean Scott Titsworth is excited about Justice’s return: “He is a skilled professional in the field who will be an outstanding resource for our students both inside and outside the classroom.”
Welcome back, Justice!
