'09 Workshop: June 26-27, 2009
The Ohio University High School Journalism Workshop is a great opportunity to learn about and improve your news judgment, reporting, writing and design skills. Interested students may also be eligible to earn one hour of college credit. All activities are held on the beautiful Ohio University campus in Athens, Ohio.

STUDENTS will participate in each of the following activities:
- A critique of their high school newspaper, magazine, Web site or newscast;
- General sessions that will cover important topics such as the Journalism Ethics and Covering School Boards & Politics; and
- Special sessions like Online Journalism Basics or Improving Your Page Design.
ADVISERS: In addition to critiques and general sessions, advisers can choose to attend the same sessions as students or special sessions for inexperienced or beginning advisers.
Students and advisers will choose their classes on the workshop registration form. The classes are listed and must be selected before registration is considered complete.
All classes take place in the state-of-the-art facilities at E.W. Scripps Hall.
Friday sessions run until 9:05 p.m. followed by a get-acquainted pizza party. Saturday's sessions run from 9:15 a.m. until 2 p.m. Students will check-out after that time.
