Multimedia Internship/Scholarship Grants!
The Scripps Howard Foundation has once again awarded the Scripps College 3 scholarships. Selected students will each receive a $3,000 internship stipend and $500 follow-up scholarship to pursue an unpaid internship in multimedia.
Students must work at least 10 weeks for a minimum of 35 hours per week in unpaid internships. Placements must be for MULTIMEDIA work. The recipient may be a spring 2010 graduate, but the $500 follow-up scholarship is awarded only to students who return to school in the fall as full-time undergraduates.
The multimedia internship doesn’t have to be with a Scripps media outlet (sites listed at www.scripps.com), but it cannot be with a direct competitor. For example, you don’t have to work at the Scripps television stations in Cincinnati or Cleveland, but you cannot work at one of the competing television stations or other media in those towns and get funding.
