Religious Newswriters Association offers Chandler Award
Religious Newswriters Association, based at the University of Missouri, seeks candidates for its annual writing contest with a $600 first prize. The deadline is May 1st, and entry is free.
DESCRIPTION:
The Chandler Award honors excellence in student writing, with an emphasis on reporting and representation of religious issues that is fair, balanced and in accordance with journalistic standards. Russ Chandler, a former L.A. Times religion reporter, sponsors the award.
APPLY:
Any undergraduate or graduate student may enter published print or online news and features about religion, spirituality or ethics.
