Editorial writer needed at the Butler Eagle
The Butler Eagle has an opening for an editorial writer. This is for experienced editorial writers. The Butler Eagle is a family-owned newspaper.
We’re looking for someone to discuss issues in our fast growing county just north of Pittsburgh. We have major industries, such as Westinghouse; an independent hospital; farming; three state parks; two universities and a community college. There’s plenty to comment on in Butler County. The focus is on local and state editorials with a moderate point of view, but national issues also can be covered.
Duties include selecting columns and letters to the editor. Some copy desk work also is included. The writer would share the responsibilities of the editorial page with another person.
To apply, send a resume, samples of writings and a letter outlining your interest in the position to: Mark Mann, managing editor, at email@example.com or Butler Eagle, P.O. Box 271, Butler PA 16003.
