Editorial writer needed at the Butler Eagle
The Butler Eagle has an opening for an editorial writer. This is for experienced editorial writers. The Butler Eagle is a family-owned newspaper.
DESCRIPTION:
We’re looking for someone to discuss issues in our fast growing county just north of Pittsburgh. We have major industries, such as Westinghouse; an independent hospital; farming; three state parks; two universities and a community college. There’s plenty to comment on in Butler County. The focus is on local and state editorials with a moderate point of view, but national issues also can be covered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include selecting columns and letters to the editor. Some copy desk work also is included. The writer would share the responsibilities of the editorial page with another person.
