Faculty resolution to rescind interim Freedom of Expression policy
The faculty of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism unanimously passed the following resolution on September 20, 2017:
Whereas Ohio University’s interim “Freedom of Expression” policy raises significant procedural and First Amendment issues, the faculty of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism unanimously and strongly urges that the policy be rescinded. Furthermore, the faculty advises that any future discussion at the administrative level about a replacement policy include significant input from faculty and students, as well as the opportunity to review and comment on draft proposals.
